Maisha Aqua Farm Ltd is a women-led, climate-smart aquaculture company based in Embu County, Kenya, driven by the Triple Bottom Line philosophy — People, Planet, and Profit.
Maisha Aqua Farm Ltd was founded in April 2025 by Caroline Wangari Nguku, a Master’s graduate in Fish Biology, Fisheries, and Aquaculture from the Humboldt University of Berlin.
After years of research and practical experience, Caroline launched a pilot fish farm in May 2025, which revealed the need for stronger infrastructure and scale-up to achieve commercial sustainability.
